when to tell your kids about santa?
I don't have kids but I listened to a podcast with a couple who's kids are around 10-12 years old. The parents contemplated when to tell the eldest child that santa isn't real. I resonated with one of the comments: "tell them that now they know the secret, THEY get to be santa because santa isn't a person, it's a magic that's inside everyone. The magic comes out when we donate toys, volunteer, and be generous and helpful to one another. I read a story about it that worded it better, but basically treat it like it's important for them to know so they can help now."
